I am re-painting my pool. I was not the last to paint it, as I recently purchased the house. After reading up on pool paints, I have found that you cannot apply epoxy over acrylic. How can I tell which type is on there now?Is my old pool paint epoxy or acrylic?

Testing for chlorinated rubber coating is done by putting a small amount of solvent on paint then seeing if paint will rub off...I think it will work to test for acrylic too epoxy will not rub off.Nelsonite pool coatings will know for sure 800-544-1998 more tips on painting here: http://www.swimming-pool-information.com鈥?/a>
